According to the social rules, Tom marries Marion (Emma Corrin), but the passion and love between Tom and Patrick never stop.
Marion finds out the truth and sends an anonymous letter to the police station reporting Patrick's sexual habits.
The story ends in 1999 when Marion has one last chance to repair the damage of the past.
